Mission Statement

The F.A.M. Fest (From Another Mother Festival) is an improv showcase designed to explicitly center and uplift Black improvisers and comedians by creatively showcasing the expansive Black experience and exposing the art of improv to Black communities through networking, community building and education.

Values

  • We will honor our true selves and create an experience where authenticity is celebrated.

  • The stage is meant to be even exchange of give and take, to make us all look good.

  • Trust is created through truth. We are committed to allowing everyone to live in their truth.

  • We will honor the moral and artistic value of all performers.

  • We will celebrate commonalities and embrace differences.

  • We will remember that we are all flawed. When mistakes happen, they will be used as teachable moments to make us all better.
